Coupang’s luxury beauty and fashion vertical service R.LUX has formed a partnership with shopping app FARFETCH to present a selection of luxury goods for Korean customers, the company said, Monday.
Through the collaboration, R.LUX customers in Korea will be able to receive a variety of luxury and premium brand products with free delivery via Rocket Jikgu, Coupang’s signature international shipping service that delivers items with no additional charges, as customs duties and taxes are included in the price.
FARFETCH is a global luxury e-commerce platform acquired by Coupang’s parent company, Coupang Inc., for $500 million in December 2023.
R.LUX was launched in October last year as a service specialized in luxury beauty products. Through the collaboration, R.LUX has become a comprehensive luxury shopping platform, offering not only globally renowned luxury brands but also popular Korean designer labels.
Products from over 1,400 luxury brands, including Dolce & Gabbana and Ferragamo, will be available on R.LUX, while Korean designer brands such as ADER ERROR, LOW CLASSIC, WE11DONE and WOOYOUNGMI also joined the platform.
Customers can browse the FARFETCH selection under the Fashion tab in the R.LUX app. There are plans to expand into more brands and categories in the future, R.LUX said.
Products are shipped from brands or boutiques that partner directly with FARFETCH globally, and R.LUX handles the final delivery in Korea. Depending on where the items are shipped from, delivery typically takes about four to seven days. All items are shipped free of charge.
“Korea is one of the most dynamically growing luxury markets in the world,” FARFETCH Chief Commercial Officer Stephen Eggleston said. “This partnership will create new opportunities for more customers and brand partners.”
R.LUX said it operates a dedicated customer service center accessible via in-app chat or phone, providing one-stop support for customer inquiries.
“Through our collaboration with FARFETCH, which offers the largest selection of brands among the global luxury commerce companies, we are now able to provide customers with an even broader range of choices,” an R.LUX official said. “We plan to continue expanding our selection across various categories.”
