Hyundai E&C’s new apartment complex in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, is drawing strong interest, with units offered on a first-come, first-served basis selling quickly, the construction company said Thursday.
According to the company, the biggest advantage of Hillstate Yongin Mark Valley is its proximity to the Yongin semiconductor national industrial complex, which is currently under construction. The government plans to cluster the nation's semiconductor companies and their research and development facilities across industrial complexes in Yongin and other cities in Gyeonggi Province.
The construction firm is banking on the massive scale of the Yongin complex, believing it will directly drive up demand for nearby residential housing. According to the company, the complex spans 7.78 million square meters — nearly twice the size of another national semiconductor complex currently under construction in Pyeongtaek, which covers 4.15 million square meters.
According to Hyundai E&C, the project cost for the Yongin complex is estimated at 9.1 trillion won ($6.6 billion), nearly three times that of the Pyeongtaek complex, which is projected to cost 3.5 trillion won.
Samsung Electronics anticipates that the 360 trillion won investment in the Yongin complex will increase the complex’s future value, the construction firm said, generating a production effect worth 400 trillion won and creating jobs for 1.92 million people.
A Hyundai E&C official said that those interested in Hillstate Yongin Mark Valley have high expectations for the Yongin complex and hope that the apartment complex’s value will increase in tandem with the development of the industrial site.
Hillstate Yongin Mark Valley consists of seven buildings, each with 27 floors, totaling 660 units. Hyundai E&C said the apartments are close to supermarkets, hospitals, school, sports centers, libraries and parks. The largest lakeside park in the country’s capital region — spanning 1.5 million square meters — is currently under planning near the complex, according to the company.
The company has introduced My HILLS, an online smart lifestyle platform designed for those planning to move to Hillstate Yongin Mark Valley. Available as a smartphone app, it offers future residents community services such as booking visiting vehicles, monitoring energy usage, controlling smart electronic appliances and locating parked vehicles.
The apartments are conveniently located near a new highway connecting northern and southern Gyeonggi, linking Guri, Yongin and Anseong. The ongoing extension of the Gyeonggang subway line and other planned highways are also in the vicinity, enhancing accessibility for the new residential community. (Advertorial)
