POSCO International completes LNG terminal construction

POSCO International CEO Lee Kye-in, center, pushes the button with participants at an event celebrating the completed construction of Korea's first privately-owned liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Gwangyang, South Jeolla Province, Tuesday. The event followed the trading and energy firm's commencement of the 1.04 trillion won ($750 million) construction project in 2002 and the start of operations of the No. 1 storage tank in 2005. The company invested another 930 billion won to build a neighboring LNG terminal with two storage tanks by 2026 to enhance Korea's energy security. Courtesy of POSCO International
