BMW Korea has diversified its flagship vehicle lineup with the launch of the 2024 BMW 7 Series here, to cement its status as the nation’s most sought-after luxury car brand.

The seventh-generation 7 Series differentiates itself from its competitors with an overwhelming design and state-of-the-art infotainment system, the Korean affiliate of the German carmaker said Monday.

One noteworthy feature of the vehicle is its world’s first in-vehicle entertainment system equipped with a 31.1-inch panoramic display called BMW Theater Screen. The company called its rear seat an executive lounge, as it provides a high level of comfort similar to first class in airplanes. The 7 Series also comes with a special door system that opens and closes automatically, which the company said will present a new dimension of luxury.

BMW Korea launched two main new models, the 750e xDrive and 740i xDrive, for the high-end lineup. The 2024 740i xDrive M Sport is its primary trim. The vehicle features luxury convenience options, such as the aforementioned theater screen and executive lounge rear seats.

The new 740i xDrive M Sport Limited Edition excluded some rear seat options but is expected to become a reasonable option for customers seeking to enjoy the carmaker’s unique driving pleasure.

BMW Korea plans to introduce its pure electric models, such as the i7 M70 xDrive, by the end of this year. The luxury electric vehicle has a symbolic identity as the first pure electric model in the 7 Series, boasting a maximum output of 660 horsepower. It also accelerates from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.7 seconds, which is the fastest among the carmaker’s pure electric models.

“We will keep making efforts to launch vehicles that meet customers’ needs by presenting a wider lineup encompassing compact and large vehicles,” an official from the company said.
