POSCO E&C opens model house for apartments near Uijeongbu Station

POSCO E&C opened Friday a model house to initiate sales of units at The Sharp apartment complex near Uijeongbu Station in northern Gyeonggi Province next month.
It will start receiving applications for 1,401 household units of The Sharp Uijeongbu Station on Nov. 6, with the selected residents being announced on Nov. 14, the company said.
The apartment complex consists of six buildings of 48 stories. It comes in four sizes ― 84, 112, 162 and 165 square meters. The complex is part of an urban development project for the former Camp LaGuardia military site in the northern Gyeonggi provincial city.
“The Sharp Uijeongbu apartment complex will be appealing to applicants thanks to the ongoing construction of next-generation high-speed railways and various favorable residential conditions," a company official said.
Once the construction of the Great Train eXpress (GTX)-C Line between Suwon and Yangju's Deokjeong area is completed, residents will be able to commute to southern Seoul's Gangnam area quickly, he said.
The construction of the GTX-C Line started earlier this year and will be complete by 2028. Uijeongbu Station is within walking distance from the apartment complex, and will be only five stops away from Samseong Station in the Gangnam area.
It also adjoins various infrastructure including a public community center, CGV movie theater, Shinsegae Department Store and Eulji University Hospital. Schools such as Uijeongbu-seo Elementary School, Daon Middle School and Uijeongbu Middle School are near the complex.
Various community facilities are in the 4,000-square-meter complex, including an indoor golf range, fitness club, rooms for Pilates and a sauna.
Each apartment elevator is installed with an LED UV-C sterilizer to disinfect germs. Residents will be able to control their home appliances via the AiQ Tech smart home service.
Charger stations for electric vehicles are located in basement parking lots which have a capacity of 1,928 cars.
