Samsung Electronics collaborated with Google and Kakao Games to release “Ares: Rise of Guardians,” which immediately rose to the top of Google Play Store's popularity chart and ranked second in terms of revenues following its launch.
"Through collaboration with Google and Kakao Games, we are delighted to provide Galaxy smartphone users with a more immersive and enjoyable gaming experience," an official from Samsung Electronics said.
Samsung Electronics and Kakao Games applied the latest 3D graphics application programming interface (API), known as Vulkan, to Ares. As a result, the game provides stable frames compared to the existing graphics API by reducing memory usage.
Google also ensured stable frame rates by implementing adaptive performance for Ares, aiming to optimize performance for representative models including the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
"Through the technological collaboration of the three companies, the new game 'Ares' has become more enjoyable on various mobile devices," a Kakao Games official said.
Upon the successful launch of Ares, Samsung Electronics included gameplay scenes in the marketing campaign for the Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Google supported various promotions and events using Google Play Points.
“Ares meeting Android and Google Play will provide gamers and foldable device users with a more immersive content experience. We look forward to continuing various technological collaborations to enhance the Android ecosystem," a Google Play official said.
