POSCO International is holding a non-deal roadshow (NDR) for foreign investors, marking the first event of its kind since the COVID-19 pandemic, the company said Wednesday. The first event was held in Singapore and Hong Kong, Tuesday, and several more will be organized through Friday in the two cities.
The company aims to showcase its competitiveness and future growth potential to foreign investors, following its integration with POSCO Energy. The company organized the NDR to increase the proportion of long-term foreign investments and enhance shareholder value.
A total of 12 investment firms, including a major overseas investment firm managing assets worth $150 billion, participated in the NDR, conducting one-on-one meetings. Topics of high interest included the integration synergy of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) value chain, environmentally friendly energy businesses such as wind power and solar energy, as well as driving motor core and secondary battery materials.
Aiming to achieve a market capitalization of 23 trillion won ($18 billion) by 2030, POSCO International has been strengthening communication with domestic and foreign investors. The company plans to regularly host "Value Day" and "Analyst Day" events for domestic institutional investors, asset management companies, and securities firms.
"We have observed a notable level of interest from foreign investors, including the recent influx of 90 billion won in passive funds following MSCI's inclusion of the Korean index. Moving forward, we will expand our regular overseas communication channels to attract substantial global fund investments," a POSCO International official said.
