The forum was held at Samsung Research America, located in Mountain View, California, after previous sessions in San Francisco and Boston last month.

Some 100 people attended the event, including leading U.S. developers, designers and Samsung Electronics executives. A large number of executives and research executives from Samsung Electronics, including Vice Chairman Han Jong-hee and MX (Mobile eXperience) Business Unit President Roh Tae-moon, took part in the event to inform the attendees about the company's vision and businesses.

Participants listened to lectures from Samsung Electronics executives in related fields and engaged in discussions on service technology, eco-friendly home appliances, SmartThings and network virtual technology, which are currently hot topics.

"I am always looking forward to meeting talented people who create new innovative models in their respective fields. Samsung Electronics is also continuously innovating technology, such as expanding the device platform and innovating the multi-device experience, in order to provide a higher level of experience to customers by increasing synergy between products," Vice Chairman Han Jong-hee said. “We will make Samsung Electronics an opportunity for diverse talents to lead innovation and create new global businesses."

At this event, Samsung Research presented a blueprint for Samsung Electronics' future growth engines under the theme of “The Future of Samsung Electronics R&D,” along with a presentation on “Service Strategy and Vision,” and discussed career growth opportunities.

In addition, executives from each business division, including video display, MX, home appliances and networks, discussed Samsung Electronics' strategic direction and future roadmap.

"I was able to learn about Samsung Electronics' service strategy and medium- to long-term R&D vision, and it was a time to understand that Samsung Electronics is putting a lot of effort into becoming an innovative leader in its major business areas," a participant of the forum said.

Samsung Electronics plans to host more forums to expand its networks by continuing to organize related events for skilled people in the future, according to the company.
