P&G Korea, a global household goods maker, has launched the Febreze Air Freshener plug for small space use to combat damp odors at house entrances, in washrooms and closets during the rainy season. It has been upgraded from its previous model to further prevent smells from recurring, the company said, Tuesday.
The new air freshener eliminates the fundamental cause of dampness and smells in homes by neutralizing odor molecules while forming a protective coating on the surface of towels, shower curtains and sneakers to keep the pleasant fragrance for the next 1,400 hours.
In addition, the Febreze Air Freshener plug is designed to utilize the airflow in the house to maintain strong deodorizing power in an enclosed indoor space. Its aesthetic design also compliments and makes it suitable for use as an interior accessory. The freshener comes with three types of scents: “Cotton & Blue Jasmine,” “Lilac & Peony” and “White Tea & Lily.”

P&G Korea has also introduced a new Downy's new fabric softener to help dry laundry in damp weather.
During the rainy season, many people are concerned about the smell of dampness at home, caused by laundry that does not dry well due to the humidity in the air. Humidity is pointed to as the main reason for bacterial reproduction, which creates bad odors that cannot be seen with the naked eye.
Downy fabric softener does not need sunlight to dry clothing and it neutralizes damp smells caused by bacteria in fabric. About 90 percent of consumers have already said ― in the survey ― that they have experienced damp odors disappearing from a room after using Downy's new fabric softener, Downy Expert. P&G offers the product in two different fragrances: “Floral Fresh” and “Fresh Clean.”
Furthermore, the detergent removes sweat stains and invisible odors with its Deep Cleaning effect, specially designed to be used in damp weather conditions.
“With our two new products, customers will no longer have to spend the monsoon worrying about damp odors in their houses,” a P&G Korea official said.
