Kia Corporation's EV6 has been awarded the Grand Prize in the product design category at the 2022 Red Dot Design Award.

The Red Dot Award is one of the world's three major design awards along with the iF Design Awards and the IDEA Design Awards.

Along with the Grand Prize at Red Dot, the car also won the main prize in the Innovative Product category, recognizing Kia's unique design innovations.

"The EV6 is a very important vehicle for the Kia brand, as it is our first fully dedicated EV with our best technology for a new era. We have the ambition to keep pushing the boundaries of automotive design and to back up product substance with inventive, bold and forward-looking designs,” said Karim Habib, head of Kia Global Design Center. “These two Red Dot awards honor the hard work of our teams and encourage us to stay the course towards the future of environmentally responsible mobility for all.”

The EV6 has racked up numerous prestigious awards this year including the 2022 European Car of the Year Award, German Car of the Year 2022 in the Premium category, Irish Car of the Year 2022 and What Car? in the U.K.'s Car of the Year 2022, Crossover of the Year and Best Car of the Year.
