AmorePacific offers new skincare treatment for scalp

When people think about skincare, they often think about their face. They use soap to wash their bodies and lotion to moisturize their skin. But there is one more area that needs to be taken care of well and that is the scalp.
It is hard to see the scalp hiding under one's hair so people don't pay much attention to it.
However, the scalp has more pores on it than on face and they are bigger. In other words, sebaceous glands underneath the scalp are more active and people need scalp treatments customized to their condition.
AmorePacific has a special brand for scalp treatment called LABO-H, which is focused on preventing hair loss. Over the last 10 years, experts from five different fields of skin, hair, ingredients, microorganisms and customer experience gathered together at a research center and developed the new “probiotics for the scalp.”
LABO-H combined probiotics with microbiome technology to create a shampoo that helps against hair loss and strengthens the scalp barrier.
Microbiome refers to a microbial ecosystem in which beneficial and harmful bacteria live in balance. A healthy scalp balances beneficial and harmful bacteria. However, a problematic scalp has far more harmful bacteria than beneficial bacteria, which causes hair loss.
LABO-H's shampoo helps eliminate 99.8 percent of ultrafine dust and 86.7 percent of oil as well as 32.1 percent of dead skin cells on the scalp through only a one-time use. After six weeks of use, a customer can experience 67.6 percent reduction of hair loss.
LABO-H found its patented probiotic substance harvested from green tea grown on Jeju Island. The land there used to be dry with strong winds blowing salty air and rough stones sitting everywhere. AmorePacific plowed a field to create a tea farm and grew tea shrubs there that can withstand the barren conditions of the island.
The probiotics found in Jeju Island's green tea plays a positive role in improving the balance of the scalp's ecosystem.
