AmorePacific said Tuesday that “red vibe” will be a popular lip color for its luxury brand Hera this spring.
Korea's top cosmetics brand said it came up with the color for its latest lipsticks in cooperation with researchers, makeup artists, brand managers, and French consultancy NellyRodi.
The firm said customers using red vibe-colored lipsticks can light up their faces with “vivid red.”
“The concept of trendy colors in the 2019 spring and summer seasons will be vital energy,” said Lee Jin-soo, a senior makeup artist for Hera. “Users can express vivid and active outlook using a red vibe color lipstick.”
To provide a wider range of choices, the firm also came up with “red sienna” that offers a rich red and a “lively orange color.”

Hera has rolled out three new lipstick products -- the Sensual Intense Velvet, Sensual Tint and Rouge Holic Shine. Each offers two color choices so that users can pick their favorite products among six new lipsticks. The firm said the representative lipstick product will be the Sensual Intense Velvet No. 337 Red Vibe.
Hera said the lipstick products use new pigment technology so that the vivid red color will last a long time.
It appointed Jennie, a member of K-pop girl band BLACKPINK, as the brand's new model. The brand said the promotional video featuring Jennie has gone viral via social network services before the lipsticks were officially launched.
The Sensual Intense Velvet is priced at around 35,000 won ($31), the Sensual Tint is at around 35,000 won and the Rough Holic Shine is sold for around 42,000 won.
