French ad giant Publicis Groupe has appointed Cho You-mi as the CEO of Publicis One Korea, a newly established entity that manages all of the group’s affiliates in Asia’s fourth-largest economy.
Cho has been serving as the head of Leo Burnett and Welcomm Publicis, successfully leading the two ad agencies and their affiliates here, over the past few years. Brands under the Publicis One Korea umbrella include Leo Burnett, Welcomm Publicis, Publicis Modem, Starcom Mediavest Group and ZenithOptimedia.
Publicis Groupe said Publicis One is the global communications enterprise that unites all of its brands’ capabilities and expertise under one roof. With more than 7,500 employees, Publicis One operations span 50 countries across Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
“We are looking forward to the new possibilities we can create under Publicis One,” said Cho, who has close to 20 years of experience in the advertising business. “Over the years, we have developed a strong suite of capabilities via all our agency brands that address our clients’ communications needs.”
Recognizing the simultaneous need for specialization and integration in marketing today, she said Publicis One is built with marketers’ interests at the center and strives to be the top integrator of best-in-class specialists. “The new organization will provide clients with end-to-end solutions, including easy and flexible access to a diverse set of experts and capabilities.”
