SK Planet to provide comprehensive restaurant portal service

SK Planet announced its plan to upgrade its restaurant review app, Syrup Table, into a comprehensive food and restaurant portal site.
An official of Korea's leading e-commerce platform and digital content provider said that the newly launched Syrup Table is expected to provide not only consumer reviews but also sell online vouchers as well as take orders and reservations for local restaurants on a single application platform.
Launched in April last year, Syrup Table has provided information and reviews of a total of 800,000 restaurants across the country and collected big data from 1 million monthly users.
With the upgrade, Syrup Table is expected to offer a reservation system for 300,000 restaurants as well as a food pick-up system with 6,300 partner restaurants.
The app enables consumers to monitor restaurants’ reserved seating in real time, and place orders and pick-ups through the app.
Additionally, some 300 mobile vouchers for 40 restaurant franchises are expected to be sold at a discounted price via Syrup Table.
