Renault Samsung infuses art into cars

We are faced with the fiercest competition ever in the automotive advertising and promotions market, and the Art Collection II advertisement’s gold prize for the Creative category means a lot to us.
The Art Collection campaign, infusing automobiles with artistic sensuality, kicked off in 2013 by using the works of Vincent Van Gogh as the centerpiece. Now, it has evolved into the Art Collection.
We wanted to talk about the similarities between works of art and automobiles. Both are made with careful details and sophisticated touches.
We wanted to talk about Claude Monet, one of the leading impressionists of the 19th century. With the help of his delicate details in his “Water Lillies,” we took a modern twist in describing how art could be blended into the value chain of automobile production.
Options such as Bi-Xenon Adaptive Headlamps, the Bose sound system and Nappa leather seats will change every aspect of the artistic experience of our cars. And many people are pleased by it.
We will continue to put all our efforts into manufacturing reliable safe and comfortable cars for our customers, cars that are a pleasure to drive.
LG Electronics’ OLED
TVs offer perfect colors

We would like to express deep gratitude for receiving The Korea Times Advertisement Awards. We also want to appreciate our customers and Korea Times readers for sparing no supports on our products.
The advertisement on our organic light-emitting diode (OLED) television started with confidence: You must have been amazed by picture quality of our OLED TVs if you had ever experienced it before.
OLED TVs are totally different from traditional televisions from scratch; existing televisions depend on indirect backlighting, which causes color distortion problems.
On the other hand, OLED TVs produce perfect colors as each pixel produces lights. This enables OLED TVs to produce super-natural and vivid colors. On top of that, backlighting equipment is not required for OLED TVs, which makes the device in five millimeter thick.
With the advertisement, we tried our best to show as strong and intuitive images of OLED TVs as possible. We also placed emphasis on expressing how televisions could produce the vivid pictures with such thinness. So we incorporated both features into our advertisement. We hope it helped customers to understand our technical edges and set a clear standard in buying televisions.
We are open to any feedback from our customers to produce more appealing advertisements.
We want to ask for continuous interests for LG televisions and the new era of the OLED.

LG Chem says ‘everything
you dream is chemical’

It is an honor to win such a meaningful award through the courtesy of the judging committee and The Korea Times.
LG Chem’s cor- porate PR ad, which won the award, was made to help the public understand the meaning of chemicals to people and society.
Even though the chemical industry plays an important role in the foundation of society, its businesses have been difficult for ordinary people to understand because they are not common public knowledge. In reality, most people do not know that their personal lives are closely related to chemicals.
The key point in making the ad was to find the connection between the public and chemicals. This was to give a friendly image for LG Chem, which is a business-to-business enterprise, and to emphasize its leading position as Korea’s no. 1 business in the chemical industry.
In the process, a simple yet powerful truth that “chemicals are everywhere” has come out.
The ad shows products most desired by consumers both young and old. The head copy reads, “Everything you dream is chemical,” to deliver the message that LG Chem’s technologies have contributed to numerous highly desired products.
This message has been made into a bright and lively illustration showing a rainbow with high-tech products and our customers of different ages.
