K-Sale Day will begin its 26-day run on Nov. 20, in an attempt to boost sagging domestic consumer spending, a Ministry of Strategy and Finance (MOSF) official said Monday.

Unlike last month’s regular “Black Friday” event, the K-Sale Day will be the nation’s biggest sales and shopping bonanza, with major department stores, large discount stores, traditional markets, electronic gadgets distributors, and restaurants taking part.

Lotte Department Store will offer 200 brands of clothes, cosmetics and sports devices at 30-80 percent discount for three days from Tuesday.

Hyundai H Mall will offer 10 fashion brands at 50 percent discount.

The MOSF said the sales of 22 companies involved in last month’s Black Friday event increased up 20.7 percent during the event.
