Retailers slash prices

Korea’s big department stores are offering large discounts to clear surplus inventory.
According to the Shinsegae Department Store, home wares and electronic goods are up to 50 percent off. The 10-day sale, from Friday, is offering up to 60 percent off the price of adventure clothing brands, including K2, Kolon Sports and Columbia.
Lotte Department Store is holding a three-day clearance sale on Friday and April 17 at SETEC in Daechi-dong, Gangnam.
Hyundai Department Store has discounts up to 70 percent on selected fashion items.
