AmorePacific CEO named SCCI vice chairman

Seoul Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) appointed AmorePacific CEO Suh Kyung-bae as its new vice chairman, Wednesday.

The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Chairman Park Yong-maan and 90 KCCI members held a board meeting to appoint Suh to the post.

“SCCI expects CEO Suh Kyung-bae’s leadership to play a role in boosting the nation’s competitiveness,” SCCI said in a statement.

“CEO Suh’s experience will help Korean firms to expand their business overseas,” said Executive Vice Chairman Lee Tong-keun in a statement.

With Suh’s appointment, the number of SCCI executives now totals 20, including Doosan Group Chairman Park Yong-maan, Hyundai Group Chairman Hyun Jeong-Eun and Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Kang Ho-moon.
