Samsung Securities has introduced a mobile trading application that provides financial information. It can be used with various types of mobile devices.
The app has three versions: mPOP for smartphones, mPOP Tap for tablets with a 7-inch screen or larger, and mPOP Tablet for tablets with a 10-inch screen.
“Investors using mobile devices such as smartphones value speed and convenience when they’re engaged in financial activities,” the firm said in a press release.
“We reflected on these aspects when we developed the application.
“Users will find that mPOP’s design is really simple, which helps it run fast compared to other mobile trading applications.”
Using mPOP, consumers can find information such as the amount of investment and return on equity on various types of stocks registered on the benchmark KOSPI and on KOSDAQ, a bourse listing technology businesses.
mPOP also provides market analyses and trading tips by expert investors.
Until December, Samsung Securities will run a promotion that exempts new Samsung Securities customers who have not been using the app for long from paying hefty commission when they trade stocks.
Participants in the promotion will be able to sell and buy stocks via mPOP for only a 0.010 percent commission, which is lower than the average rate, according to the company.
