Samsung's Lee Kun-hee loses W1 tril.

Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Kun-hee has lost 1 trillion won ($900 million) due to the steep fall in the company’s stock price since the beginning of last month.

According to Chaebul.com, there are 15 persons who hold stocks valued at more than 1 trillion won as of the end of trading last Friday.

The total value of their shareholding was 37.7 trillion won ($34 billion), down 5.6 percent from May which equals 2.3 trillion won ($2 billion).

Among those who suffered from the fall in stock prices, Samsung was the worst with Lee’s shareholding dropping a whopping 7.2 percent of 874.7 billion won ($790 million) to 11.3 trillion won ($10 billion).

Even his wife Hong Ra-hee, owner of the Leeum Museum, lost 11 percent in her stockholding worth 183 billion won ($150 million).
