Curious produces new flexible material
Curios, a special glass manufacturer, announced success in producing pilot samples of new malleable materials to create a flexible and bendable light weight display.
The display doesn’t break when dropped so the material can be applied to produce a variety of portable products such as a scroll type of newspaper, or a cellular phone in the form of a wrist watch.
Curious is planning to concentrate its attack on domestic and foreign manufacturers of mobile equipment, armed with a technology of hard, transparent, anti-scratch and super-hydrophobic anti-fingerprint coating using a newly developed plasma coating.
According to a market survey by Displaybank, the demand for flexible display is expected to increase more than 15-fold from 2015 to 2020.
