Kia Venga Gets Red Dot Design Award

Kia Motors' Venga has garnered back-to-back awards at prestigious design competitions within a period of a few months.
The Seoul-based firm said Monday that the Venga, its new entry in the super-mini class, was picked as one of the winners in the automobile design segment of the Red Dot Design Award.
Late last year, the model was selected as one of the winners at the iF Design Award.
``We are glad that the Venga won an award at the coveted Red Dot after becoming a winner at the iF Award last year,'' Kia said in a statement. ``We expect the awards will enhance our brand awareness in European markets.''
The Red Dot awards are given to honor outstanding design and trendsetters. The annual event was launched in 1955 in Germany and became an international event in 1991.
A total of 4,252 products from 57 nations were submitted for this year's competition in the sectors of product design, communication design and design concepts.
