Busan Economic Zone Seeks Japan’s Investment

As part of efforts to attract more Japanese investment, the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone (BJFEZ) Authority held an investment relations meeting in Fukuoka, Japan, Thursday.

During the meeting at the New Otani Hotel, the office signed a memorandum of understanding with the Small and Medium Entrepreneurs' Companionship Society of Fukuoka Prefecture on mutual cooperation.

The event was aimed at promoting the Korean business zone and attracting Japanese companies to the free economic zone, especially the Mieum and Nammun foreign investment districts, which were designated as a specialized industrial complex for machinery parts by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy.

Last week, BJFEZ Commissioner Kim Moon-hee visited the neighboring country to discuss measures to tighten ties with local officers and business owners in the Kyushu region.
