Mercedes-Benz Korea said Wednesday that it has sold over 1,000 units of the ``New C-Class’’ luxury sedan in about two months since its official launch in South Korea last November.
Mercedes-Benz released five models of the New C-Class sedans including diesel models such as C220 CDI Elegance and C220 CDI Avantgarde as well as the gasoline models such as the C200 K Elegance, C200 K Avantgarde and C230 Avantgarde.
``We think that the excellent driving performance to rival that of sports cars, a variety of designs and the convenience options oriented to local customers helped the good sales in the first two months,’’ a company spokesman said.
Mercedes-Benz C-Class, a representative lineup of the German automaker, has sold about 6 million units around the world since its official launch about 25 years ago.
