Hyundai Card Steps Up Year-End Marketing Drive

Hyundai Card, one of the country's leading credit card issuer, is offering free gifts and a range of other benefits to its card users as part of efforts to boost card spending during the year-end shopping season.
Since early this month, the company has been giving various promotional goods to shoppers who purchase products with Hyundai cards at E-Mart. Those who purchase goods worth over 50,000 won can receive free tissues and detergents at the country's largest retail store until Sunday.
Card users buying products worth over 100,000 won will get free kitchen containers and frying pans, while a 10,000 won Shinsegae gift certificate will be offered to those spending more than 200,000 won.
Hyundai cardholders also can turn card points into gift vouchers with which they can purchase goods at E-Mart. The card issuer will draw lots among its card users at E-Mart later this month and give out round-trip tickets to the Maldives as well as other promotional gifts to those selected.
The company said its year-end promotional events were aimed at giving holiday joy to its cardholders during the winter shopping season, expecting such sales campaigns to encourage card users to spend more and boost company sales.
Also, the card company said it will hold a draw for a car and other free gifts later this month for cardholders who shop at FamilyMart stores.
Hyundai cardholders who stay at a number of ski resorts nationwide can receive a 40 percent discount, beginning this month, when paying for rooms and other services there.
Such leisure facilities include High1 Ski Resort, Hyundai Sungwoo Resort and Daemyung Resort in Gangwon Province. Also, cardholders will get a 40 percent discount when renting a car from Kumho.
Cardholders can also enjoy high-quality foods and services at a number of hotels at discounted prices through the end of this month. They can reserve rooms and enjoy food at restaurants of five-star hotels for 40 percent cheaper than regular prices.
