Woori Financial Group to sponsor multicultural teenagers to join program in Vietnam

Woori Financial Group is recruiting teenagers from multicultural families to participate in its “global language and culture experience” program in Vietnam.
Since 2014, Woori has been operating the program that supports teenagers from multicultural families to visit motherlands of their parents. Aiming to nurture the teenagers as global leaders, the program has been welcomed as a representative support program in the financial industry for multicultural families.
Those wishing to participate in the event should make application at the Woori Multicultural Scholarship Foundation's website, or woorifoundation.or.kr, by June 7. The foundation will select a final 30 participants , considering factors such as the reason for application and family environment.
The selected teenagers will be offered Vietnamese language education from June to September. Additionally, they will visit the Hanoi area in Vietnam from Aug. 5 to 11, and participate in various activities in collaboration with the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family. In Vietnam, they will also visit Woori Bank, tour Hanoi University campus and engage in volunteering for local children. The Woori foundation sponsors the language training and cultural experience programs.
The foundation was set up in 2012 to support the settlement of multicultural families in Korean society. It operates diverse programs such as scholarships, and an orchestra and choir to help children and teenagers integrate into Korean society.
