Woori Bank launches internship program for Southeast Asian students in Korea

Woori Bank is launching internships for Southeast Asian students studying in Korea to help them become global financial experts who can help bridge Korea and Southeast Asian countries, the bank said Tuesday.
The program targets students from Indonesia, Vietnam and Cambodia who are expected to graduate from a language course, undergraduate or master's program at Korea's major universities within one year.
Woori Bank has opened a KakaoTalk channel (@wooriwish) where eligible students can ask questions about the internship program at any time.
To apply for the internship, students should download and complete the application form from the KakaoTalk channel and then submit it via email to the respective email address for their region.
Each local subsidiary of the bank will select candidates for interviews, conduct virtual interviews and choose four candidates from each country, for a total of 12 participants.
The selected participants will undergo a five-week program, receiving diverse job training at Woori Bank's headquarters in Seoul, its Sangam Center and specialized branches for foreign customers.
From these participants, the bank will select six outstanding individuals to receive scholarships and the opportunity to work at their respective local subsidiaries.
