The classic and elegant edifice of Imperial Palace Seoul harmonizes with the business and cultural address of the hotel situated in Nonhyeong-dong, Gangnam.

The prime business hotel in southern Seoul offers contrasts between its antique exterior that also extends to the interior with the high-tech businesses facilities it provides to business travelers. That was the intention of the hotel’s Chairman Sin Chul-ho since its inception, to provide customers with a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere with art gallery like decorations that are usually found in Europe.

But the facilities are most high-tech. In the guestrooms, the hotel offers reinforced modern facilities including i-pod Station and high-speed wireless Internet services. The business center provides the latest IT facilities such as projectors and professional translation and interpretation services.

The hotel’s core concept is to offer a classy interior matched by state-of-the art facilities at the banquet halls. The halls can accommodate all types of gatherings, from large-scale international events, high-tech conferences, seminars and business meetings to gala events and theme parties.

Antique style Dubhe Hall has holding capacity of 1,000 people, while elegant Selena Hall can hold up to 800. Five other halls are available for small or medium sized meetings for various purposes.

The hotel’s experienced staff offer customized service to make events successful, meeting each group’s needs from the planning stage to the final delivery.

The winner of the top prize in 2006 in the “Favorite Business Hotel” category of TIME Readers’ Travel Choice Awards 2006 selected by Time Asia, the hotel has 430 guestrooms, 35 of which are suites. Some of its unique rooms include 16 duplex suites, and 12 spa rooms decorated with marble and featuring “ondol” or Korean floor heating systems well as very unique royal suite.

For dining, there are 12 restaurants and bars ready to satisfy the palates of customers including the buffet restaurant that is one of the most popular with the local residents. The Japanese and Chinese restaurants have private rooms for exclusive meetings while all-day dining cafe and bars provide entertainment for the business traveler.

The Club Imperial Lounge for club floor guest is ideal for small meeting with beverages and snacks. What’s unique about this lounge is that it is a reproduction of a traditional Korean tiled roof house, along with traditional style furniture and kitchen facilities such as a fireplace with iron pots.

The poolside BBQ buffet and Garden Terrace are also famous venues in the summer season.

For those looking to charge up on energy, the hotel’s fitness club offers a luxurious place to exercise or relax, featuring modern gym equipment, group exercise zone, rock climbing facilities, squash court, swimming pool and a sauna, along with an outdoor driving range.

Other “only-Imperial Palace” services guests can enjoy is the seated front desk, free valet parking for female guests and real name system for room maids.
