"Hommas," a term that originated from "homepage masters," refers to devoted K-pop fans who take quality pictures of their favorite stars and share them on their websites or social media.
These dedicated individuals are more than just fans. They're an integral part of the K-pop ecosystem, investing time and effort to capture the best moments of their favorite singers. While some of them create and sell K-pop merchandise like calendars using their photos, many still rely on part-time jobs to support their passion, attending various fan events to catch a glimpse of and photograph their idols.
To delve deeper into their lives, POPKORN invited a homma for up-and-coming K-pop boy band TIOT, a four-member group that will soon make its official debut. She not only took several shots of our "muggle" guest — who does not know much about the K-pop scene — but also demonstrated her editing skills with one of the photos, while talking about her life and homma experience.
Curious about how the homma's edited photo turns out? Ever wondered if K-pop stars recognize their hommas? For answers to these questions and a peek into the unique world of hommas, please check out our video!
