Hwang Seon, a former deputy speaker of the now-defunct far left Democratic Labor Party, was arrested on Wednesday over her alleged pro-North Korean activities. The prosecution said she allegedly caused social confusion by holding forums and making remarks sympathizing with the North Korean regime, together with a co-host of the forums, Shin Eun-mi, a Korean-American, who was expelled from South Korea on Saturday.
