Cheong Wa Dae documents reveal cozy ex-President Park-Samsung ties over controversial succession
The presidential office Cheong Wa Dae has found more than 300 documents from the former administration, some of which suggest it had at least sought to support what could have been an illegal succession of power and wealth by Lee Jae-yong, the de facto leader of Samsung Group, Cheong Wa Dae said Friday.
The documents, dated between June 2014 and June 2015, were found in a file cabinet in an office previously occupied by the presidential secretary for civil affairs under the former Park Geun-hye administration, according to Cheong Wa Dae spokesman Park Soo-hyun. (Yonhap)
