President Moon Jae-in shakes hands with Liberty Korea Party (LKP) Chairman Hong Joon-pyo before their talks at Cheong Wa Dae, Friday. In the meeting arranged at Moon's request, the President asked for the opposition party's cooperation for planned summits between North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and Moon, and Kim and President Donald Trump. In response, Hong said that he welcomes the summits where complete denuclearization of the North will be discussed, but opposes the phased resolution of the nuclear issue, adding past failures should not be repeated. Hong also urged Moon to dismiss controversial Financial Supervisory Service chief Kim Ki-sik and withdraw his proposal for a constitutional revision. / Courtesy of Cheong Wa Dae
