A graduate medical student allegedly took more than 500 photos under women’s skirts, SBS reported Sunday.
According to the report, the male student, surnamed Kim, had about 500 pictures and videos of women, which he had taken around subway stations for eight months from January last year.
The report said Kim used a hidden camera on escalators in subways and followed the women to take pictures of their faces and from behind.
Kim’s girlfriend reported him to police after finding the pictures, SBS said.
The number of victims was 183, including his girlfriend and his younger sister.
SBS said that despite the crime’s gravity, Kim had his indictment suspended.
The prosecution deemed that Kim’s crime was accidental and that he regretted his wrongdoings, the report said.
