A man has been arrested after allegedly driving off while a policeman held a door handle on the car.
Busan Jin police said the man, surnamed Yoo, 57, cursed the police officer when he stopped Yoo’s car for an alleged traffic violation on Monday afternoon. Yoo is suspected of driving 20 meters with the policeman holding the handle. The officer suffered facial injuries.
Another policeman caught Yoo at the scene.
“I did not attempt to escape,” Yoo told police. “I accelerated because I just wanted to get out of the situation.”
