A Seoul court has fined a pastor for kissing a 10-year-old girl on the cheek.
The Seoul High Court on Saturday fined the pastor, surnamed Lee, 15 million won ($13,500) for sexually harassing the girl.
Last year, Lee, 73, held her hands on the street and said: “God is in our mind. If you believe in God, all the evil spirit in your mind will be expelled.” He then kissed her and was indicted following the incident.
He pleaded not guilty, claiming that she allowed him to do so.
But the court dismissed the appeal.
“His deed is equal to sexual molestation which causes humiliation and violates the victim’s sexual freedom,” the court said in its ruling.
