A YouTube video shows how to tell the difference between an authentic Samsung Galaxy S6 and a fake.
A man in the video operates the two devices to show how slowly the fake responds.
“Let’s go ahead and open the apps,” he says. “Let’s go ahead and open the phone. You guys will see right away this one on the right is the fake.
But the response time was not the only difference.
“It (the authentic Galaxy S6) will have glass on its back,” he says. “It (the fake one) is somewhat plastic.” And he knocks on the back of the fake to show how it sounds.
It looks easy for smartphone users to spot the differences, but he says it might not be the case for older people.
“It takes a few seconds, honestly,” he says. “(But) if you are an old guy and you’re buying this for your son, you may not be able to tell the difference.”
