Man throws cash from window to relieve stress

Police have charged a man who threw cash out of a window while driving in Busan on Sunday.

According to the Haeundae police, the man, 34, identified as Cha, threw out about 200 $1 notes on Gwangan Bridge at about 4.30 p.m.. Several vehicles stopped in the middle of the road so drivers could pick up the money, causing congestion.

“I just wanted to relieve my stress from work,” police quoted Cha as saying. “I tried doing it like a scene from a movie.”

Police said the Cha collected the $1 notes at banks and drove his father’s car so the media would pay attention.

On Monday, police charged Cha with causing traffic obstruction.
