CL gets nod for Time's top 100

Singer CL

Singer CL, of K-pop girl group 2NE1, has been nominated for Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people of 2015.

The magazine said the singer, 24, whose real name is Lee Chae-lin, is teaming with music manager Scooter Braun for her American debut.

The online poll for the list closes at 11:59 p.m. on April 10, with winners announced three days later. The official Time 100 list will be released on April 16.

CL is the third singer to be nominated for the list, with Rain and Psy previously making it.
