Daughter tries to poison mother for taking iPhone

A girl in Colorado, the United States, 12, has been charged with attempted murder after trying to poison her mother for twice confiscating her iPhone, U.S. police said.

They said the mother noticed the smell of bleach after finishing a smoothie, and became sick. She noticed the same smell in water jug in her room.

“It seems a bit of an outrageous reaction to having your phone taken away, but I think it’s also reflecting of how our teens and our kids are so dependent on that, that they’d be willing to those extremes,” said a neighbor, Luciana Cordova.

The girl is being held at a juvenile center.
