Next month’s total lunar eclipse will be celebrated at a star-themed park in North Chungcheong Province.
Yul-ri Park in Jeungpyeong County is holding the event from 6 to 10 p.m. on April 4 ㅡ Eclipse Day for the Korean Peninsula and surrounding areas.
The moon can be observed from 6:48 p.m., with a partial eclipse starting at 7:14 p.m. The total eclipse will take place from 8:54 p.m. to 9:06 p.m.
There is no charge or age limit for the festival. Activities will include making mini-rockets and information about the eclipse. There will also be a concert titled “Moonlight Ensemble.”
The next total eclipse will happen in January 2018.
