Wrap your face to help it look younger, book says

If you want to look younger with fresher-looking skin, covering your face in clingfilm is the answer, a new book says.

According to “The Japanese Skincare Revolution,” steaming your face in clingfilm is the secret to smooth, rejuvenated skin.

“Moisture content is the most important factor in a rejuvenated complexion,” the Daily Mail quotes author Chizu Saeki as saying. “If skin is hydrated, it will look younger, firmer and fresher.”

The heat that is generated opens pores, which makes it easier for the face to absorb deeply creams and serums applied to the face.

The newspaper quotes Doctor Sunil Chopra as saying, “We use clingfilm in severe cases of psoriasis to encourage cream to work at a deeper dermal level.”
