Woman dies after dermal filler insertion

A woman in her 20s died four days after having fat transplant treatment at a cosmetic surgery clinic in Sinsa-dong, southern Seoul.
She had complained of facial pain after the surgery, according to Gangnam Police.
She was taken to hospital, but died soon after.
A hospital statement said the woman died of septic shock, a life-threatening reaction to a severe infection.
The infection spread throughout her body.
An autopsy will be done to confirm the cause of the death.
The victim’s family plans to sue the clinic.
