Milk delivery truck stolen

Listen

/ Yonhap

A milk truck has been stolen from an alley near Seocho, Seoul, while the milkman was making a delivery.

The milkman, surname Lee, said he was delivering milk to a nearby building when the truck was taken. He had been gone less than five minutes. He then called police.

Lee said his cell phone and credit card were in the truck.

He called his number several times with no response, until a building security guard near Yeoido picked it up.

The guard said a man had thrown the phone from the truck.

Police found the suspect, Kim, running from the truck. They caught and arrested him. Police alleged Kim was drunk.

“I was drunk and just drove the truck,” Kim told police. “I do not have any particular reason for it.”

Seoul Yeongdeungpo police will charge Kim with theft and violating traffic laws.
