Kim Hyun-joong denies marriage rumor

K-pop star Kim Hyun-joong has shot down rumors that he has reconciled with his former girlfriend, who is pregnant.

According to his agency, KeyEast, the singer, 28, could not confirm whether she was pregnant because she had rejected his calls. KeyEast also denied that the two would consider getting married.

“They were seeing each other last year but decided to go separate ways at the end of the year,” an agency spokesperson said.

The response came a day after magazine Woman Sense reported on his reunion with his ex, Miss Choi, who sued him for assault last year. The magazine also said she was now into her 11th week of pregnancy.

A friend told the magazine: "Kim Hyun-joong is worried about his upcoming enlistment in the army while both families are discussing marriage and the baby."

Last August, Choi said Kim punched and kicked her, leaving bruises that required two weeks of medical treatment.

Choi withdrew an assault charge after Kim apologized.
