Aviation fuel prices are falling along with plunging oil prices.
An airline industry official said Monday that aviation fuel prices will fall from level 2 to level 1 next month.
The aviation fuel price for the U.S.,, Europe and Africa will fall from $15 to $5, while the Middle East and Oceania price will fall from$14 to $4.
The southwest Asia and middle Asia will fall from $7 to $2, China and northeast Asia from $5 to $2. For Japan and Shantung Province in China, the price will fall from $3 to $1. For Southeast Asia, the price will fall from $6 to $2.
Aviation fuel prices have been falling steadily since last September, when the prices were at level 14. The price could ease to “zero” again if the falls continue.
Fuel surcharges are imposed when Singapore aircraft fuel costs above 150 cents a gallon.
