A couple has been arrested for blackmailing a corporate president, Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office said on Wednesday.

A man surnamed Oh, 48, had reportedly blackmailed the president since last June with video footage that Oh claimed showed the president having sex with a woman. Oh allegedly blackmailed him for three billion won ($2.7 million).

Oh’s girlfriend, 30, surnamed Kim, was arrested on charges of complicity.

The prosecution said Kim met the president in early 2014, and colluded with Oh to blackmail him.

The prosecution obtained video footage in which no one is seen without the president, according to the prosecution.

The president sent 40 million won to Oh, but filed a complaint last month.

The prosecution issued an arrest warrant for Oh on Wednesday, and plans to issue one for Kim on Thursday.
