A jersey signed by soccer star Son Heung-min has sold for over 3.9 million won ($3,600) at a charity auction.

The shirt was part of a four-day event called “Football Love Auction” that raised money for children from low income families. Online trading site Auction said the event, which ended Monday, raised 15.2 million won.

The auction included 23 uniforms signed by national soccer stars.

The average bid for each uniform was 661,478 won. The highest bid was for the shirt signed by Son.

The second-highest bid was for Ki Sung-yeong’s uniform (1.2 million won) followed by a shirt signed by Kim Jin-hyeon at one million won.

The money will be sent to World Vision, an international humanitarian organization, to support low income families through football.

A second round of the charity auction began Tuesday and also includes football-related items.

“With the South Korea national football team vying for the Asian Cup, items were sold at higher price than expected,” said Lee Hyo-young, a marketing team manager at Auction.
