Hotel offers costly Lunar New Year's gift

A bottle of wine is the most expensive Lunar New Year’s gift being offered at a five-star hotel here.

The bottle of Chateau Mouton Rothschild 1945 is on sale at Lotte Hotel Seoul for a mere 59 million won ($53,000). The hotel had already put the bottle on the market during the Chuseok holiday last year, when the price was 58 million won.

The hotel also sells other exclusive bottles of wine – “1961 Chateau Latour, Pauillac, France” at 28 million won ($25,000) and “Ballantine’s 40 Year Old” at 10 million won ($9,100).
