A Korean bride on a honeymoon in the Malaysian state of Sabah, on Borneo, has drowned, the Korean Embassy in Malaysia said on Friday.
Surnamed Han, the woman, 31, was snorkeling with her husband near Gaya Island off the capital of Kota Kinabalu on Thursday night, when a strong rip swept her 30 meters away.
The husband and staff dragged her back to shore, but could not revive her.
