'Old Couple' film climbs to third place at box office

The Korean documentary “My Love, Don't Cross that River,” about an almost-centenarian couple, has climbed to third place in national box office sales.

The film covers a year in the lives of Cho Byung-man, 98, and Kang Gye-yeol, 89, who have been married 76 years.

A total of 34,854 tickets were sold on Tuesday alone, with the film having attracted more than 300,000 people since opening in late November.

Although the film is trailing “Exodus: Gods and Kings” (accumulated ticket sales 773,777) and “Interstellar” (9,101,593), sales for these two movies fell on Tuesday.
